The Gage Family: From Left to Right: Abra, Christi, Alesa, and (Daddy)
Inspector Phil .
This is one of my favorite pictures. Even though it was taken about 10 years
ago.
I moved my family from Michigan to Denver in 1986. After our move to Denver, we
learned that our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ was the most important aspect of our life.
We moved here with only what we could pack in 2 U-Haul trailers. The
girls were 4 and 6 at the time.
We moved in with my brother Dave, where we stayed about 6 weeks until we found
a place to rent.
The job market was pretty bad at this time, so we prayed and trusted in the
Lord to provide for us. The Lord did provide in many ways. We found and joined a Church
and one day out of the blue, one of the Deacons call and offered us a house to live in for
free.
There was a catch though. We had to do the maintenance on an office building
next door to the house.
We accepted the job and after they found out how handy I was, they hired me to
maintain over 40 rental properties they owned.
Not knowing it then, but this was the start of me becoming a Home Inspector. We
stayed in that house for 16 years. We raise the girls there and was able to send them to a
private Christian School where they both graduated from.
After the girls were in college, I thought this would be a good time to move. When we found the house we wanted to buy, our realtor asked if I wanted a home
inspection. I figured an inspection was a good idea so I went with the inspector that was
suggested by our realtor.
The inspection went ok but it was rather superficial. I would have rather he
checked things out better. As I watched the inspector I new then that this is
something I wanted to do. Only I would do it better.
I went to Utah for my home inspector training and opened HomeFront Inspection,
LLC a month later. I made it my commitment that I would offer my clients the best
inspection I could give them.
Again, the Lord blessed me with a successful business. I am really in my
element now. I love to help people and what a better way than to help people with their
home buying process.
It's really great living in the Lord's will. No mater what happens, the good or
the bad, I give God the glory.
If you are searching for a relationship with God, Talk to me and I will show
you what the Bible says about having a relationship with God.
John 3:16
If you are looking for a great Church, I recommend Riverside Baptist at I-25
and 23rd. Just north of the stadium.
Many House Blessings,
Phil Gage
